Bhutan belongs to the eastern Himalayan biological hotspots in the world. The country is sandwiched by China to the north and India to the south with whole geographic region sharing Palearctic and Indo-malayan biogeographic realms giving rise to exquisite and rich biodiversity. With more than 70% of its' total area under forest cover and is the first carbon negative country. With diverse geographic and climatological variations, the country has recorded almost 800 plus species of birds.
